The Sismo Core team reserves the right to reject a badge deployment request if it does not comply with the following rules (or for any other reason not yet listed here - this list is not exhaustive).

ACCEPTANCE CRITERIA

Title Description Example
❌ No copyrighted content / hateful / porn / gore badges The badge should NOT include copyrighted content, pornographic or sexually explicit content, profanity or inflammatory content, hateful or discriminatory content, politically radicalized content, or content encouraging illegal activities A badge artwork displaying sexual or gore imagery would NOT be accepted for deployment.
❌ No impersonation of individuals or projects The badge should NOT be presented as an “official” project badge without approval from the relevant project or or described as created by a specific individual if it was not. A badge described as the “Official Aave Governance” badge would NOT be accepted for deployment if not approved by the Aave DAO.
However, a badge simply stating it can be minted by participants in Aave governance would be accepted.

A badge described as the official badge of Vitalik’s friends (personally handpicked) would NOT be accepted for deployment if not approved by Vitalik. However, a badge simply stating it can be minted by Vitalik’s Twitter followers would be accepted. | | ❌ No oversized group on testnets | A testnet badge should NOT have an eligible group of accounts >10,000 accounts. The Sismo Core team subsidizes part of the testnet fees and big test groups can consume too many testnet gas tokens to be sustainable. | A testnet badge with an eligible group composed of 35,000 accounts would NOT be accepted for deployment on testnets. | | ✅ English language mandatory | The badge title, description, and technical specifications should be written in English. | A badge whose title is written in Japanese would NOT be accepted for deployment. | | ✅ Compliant artwork https://sismo.notion.site/921d853497fb45efb17459c1ed30c24bhttps://sismo.notion.site/921d853497fb45efb17459c1ed30c24b | The badge artwork should follow the https://sismo.notion.site/921d853497fb45efb17459c1ed30c24b. | A badge artwork displaying non-readable words or hiding the frame of the artwork would NOT be accepted for deployment. | | ✅ Test badges on testnets | A badge clearly intended for testing purposes (e.g. including “test” in the title or description) should be deployed on a testnet and not on a mainnet. | A badge whose title is “Test Badge Project X” would NOT be accepted for deployment on Gnosis Chain or Polygon POS mainnet but would be accepted for deployment on Goerli or Mumbai. |

➡️ If you want to go above and beyond in the creation of your ZK Badge and ensure it can be a candidate for Curation* in the future (*to be verified as a quality Badge by Sismo Governance and displayed as such), you also ensure that it is compliant with the more restrictive ZK Badge Curation Guidelines.
